Surveys can be sent out to a significant number of users. Surveys have limited value because traditionally you get limited answers to why people respond the way that they do. Therefore they are most useful when you already have a sense of why and are trying to understand to what degree.

Survey builders like Google Surveys, Typeform or Survey Monkey not only have tools to create surveys but also the means to collect and measure results. For slightly more complex surveys we also use conjointly.
